Rockin' for Restoration: Empowering Recovery and Transforming Lives

In the heart of Trussville, Alabama, a remarkable event is set to take the stage, uniting the community in a powerful mission to support those in recovery. The 3rd Annual Rockin' for Restoration fundraiser, organized by the Will Bright Foundation, is poised to make a lasting impact, offering a night of music, camaraderie, and unwavering commitment to those seeking a second chance at life.

Bridging the Gap: Restoring Hope and Empowering Recovery

Empowering the Journey from Recovery to Everyday Life

The Will Bright Foundation, established in memory of Will Bright, who tragically lost his life to a heroin overdose in 2012, has made it its mission to provide a lifeline for individuals navigating the challenging path of recovery. The foundation recognizes that the journey from recovery centers back to everyday life can be daunting, and it has dedicated itself to bridging that gap, ensuring that those in recovery have the support and resources they need to thrive."Where Will always struggled was taking that next step, so when we started the foundation, we knew that's where we would spend a lot of our time," explains Trussville City Councilor Lisa Bright, co-founder of the Will Bright Foundation. This unwavering commitment to supporting individuals in their transition from recovery to reintegration is at the heart of the foundation's work.

Restoration Springs: A Beacon of Hope

One of the foundation's flagship programs, Restoration Springs, offers a comprehensive approach to supporting individuals in recovery. This initiative provides housing, transportation, and peer support, empowering those in recovery to take the crucial next steps towards a fulfilling and meaningful life."We help provide that segue for them to get into a really meaningful, good paying job and that they can feel good about themselves," Bright explains, highlighting the foundation's holistic approach to recovery. By addressing the practical and emotional needs of those in recovery, Restoration Springs aims to create a solid foundation for long-term success.

Advocacy and Legislation: Driving Change

The Will Bright Foundation's impact extends beyond the local community, as the organization actively engages in advocacy and legislative efforts in Washington, D.C. Most recently, the foundation has lent its support to the NOPAIN Act, a crucial piece of legislation that will expand access to non-opioid pain management options, a critical step in addressing the opioid crisis that has claimed too many lives. This multifaceted approach, combining on-the-ground support, community engagement, and legislative advocacy, underscores the foundation's unwavering commitment to transforming lives and creating a brighter future for those in recovery.

Rockin' for Restoration: A Celebration of Hope

The 3rd Annual Rockin' for Restoration fundraiser is a testament to the Will Bright Foundation's dedication to its mission. This event, open to the public, promises a night of music, entertainment, and community support, all in the name of empowering those on the path to recovery.Featuring performances by Tyson Hanes and Deputy 5, the event will also include a 50/50 raffle, giveaways, and VIP tickets, ensuring that attendees can enjoy a truly memorable experience while contributing to a worthy cause.Janice Rogers, a seasoned emcee with personal connections to the cause, will be leading the festivities, bringing her infectious energy and passion to the event. "She's always a ton of fun, very energetic," Bright says. "She has addiction stories in her family and so she shares that same passion that we do."

A Call to Action: Donate and Participate

The Rockin' for Restoration event is not just a celebration; it is a call to action. Attendance is free to the public, but the foundation is accepting donations, with the goal of surpassing the ,000 raised at last year's event. These funds will be directly channeled into the foundation's programs, including Restoration Springs, scholarships, and other initiatives aimed at supporting individuals in recovery.Additionally, Ferus, a local business, has pledged to do a round-up through the month of August, further contributing to the foundation's efforts. As the community gathers for this inspiring event, the message is clear: together, we can make a difference in the lives of those seeking to reclaim their futures. By supporting the Rockin' for Restoration fundraiser, attendees will be part of a movement that is transforming lives and restoring hope. The event will take place on Friday, August 25th, at 6 p.m. in the Gateway Entertainment District of Trussville, Alabama. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and join in the celebration of resilience, community, and the power of recovery. For more information or to donate, visit the Will Bright Foundation's website at https://willbrightfoundation.com/event/rockin-for-restoration/.
