Zuber Realty’s Annual Veteran Food Drive Collects and Delivers Donations

Zuber Realty's Heartfelt Contribution: Feeding Veterans in Need

Zuber Realty, a leading real estate firm, has once again demonstrated its unwavering commitment to supporting the local veteran community. Through their annual food drive, the company has collected a remarkable amount of non-perishable items and toiletries, surpassing last year's donations by a significant 13%. This remarkable achievement is a testament to the generosity of the community and the dedication of the Zuber Realty team.

Empowering Those Who Served: Zuber Realty's Veteran Food Drive

Honoring Family Ties and Military Service

The driving force behind this initiative is Vanessa Deskie, a Zuber Realty agent whose own family's military service has inspired her to make a difference. Deskie's grandfather and father-in-law served in World War II, her father served in the army between wars, her uncle fought in Vietnam, and her cousins have served in Iraq. This rich history of service has instilled in Deskie a deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans, and she is determined to support them in their time of need.

Rallying the Community for a Worthy Cause

The food drive was a collaborative effort, with Zuber Realty's Boyertown and Royersford offices serving as collection points throughout the month of June. The company also partnered with the Berks-Mont Business Association to collect donations during the Philadelphia Avenue Street Fair, and held a special collection day at the Boyertown Redner's Market on June 15th. The community responded with overwhelming generosity, donating both non-perishable items and monetary contributions in the form of cash, checks, and gift cards.

Delivering Hope and Sustenance to Veterans

The collected donations were then delivered to the headquarters of Veterans Making a Difference, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting veterans in need within Berks County. This organization, which operates out of the Veteran Social Center at 645 N. 6th St. in Reading, will ensure that the much-needed supplies reach the veterans who rely on their services.

A Resounding Success: Zuber Realty's Commitment Shines

Richard A. Zuber, the company's founder, expressed his gratitude to all who contributed to the success of the food drive. "I want to thank everyone who contributed – those who helped man our food drive or those who contributed, or both! Everyone did a fantastic job. The drive was a success; any time you have others give so freely of their time and money, it is a success."The Zuber Realty team's unwavering dedication to supporting veterans is a shining example of the power of community engagement and the transformative impact that can be achieved when individuals and businesses come together for a common cause. This annual food drive not only provides essential resources to those who have served our country but also serves as a testament to the enduring spirit of compassion and service that defines the Zuber Realty brand.
